Tequila

Tequila is a distilled spirit that is made from an agave plant
with blue leaves that grows only in Jalisco province in Mexico. The
agave as a succulent is a type of mezcal which in turn is part of the
lily and aloe family. It is also known as the century plant, the
maguey (mah-gay), often referred to as agave azul, which Mexicans
call “the plant of the gods” and looks like a giant pineapple. There
are three types of tequila: Blanco, Reposado and Añejo.

BLANCO
100% Blue Agave Tequila

White tequila, also referred to as “silver” or the Spanish
“plata.” It is Tequila in its purest form. Unaged for at
least sixty days having a floral, herbal and somewhat
peppery quality that is balanced by the agave’s
natural sweetness.

100% Blue Agave Tequila

Translated literally means, “rested,” aged in wood
for at least sixty days to less than one year. It tastes
slightly more mellow than blancos, vanilla and
spice characteristics with a pungent scent and a
deeper, lingering flavor.

100% Blue Agave Tequila

Translated literally means “aged” for a minimum of one year in
old 190 liter whisky oak barrels. As a result of the longer aging
period, it has a color that is darker than a reposado, and a nose and
flavor that is smooth and mellow with a soft texture, The oak barrels
also contribute spiciness and a vanilla flavor.
