Richard Sandoval Restaurants

Eli Jushvaev

Director of Finance

Eli Jushvaev joined Richard Sandoval Restaurants in 2005 when the group owned and operated four restaurants. He has been an integral part of the company's growth ever since. As one of RSR's most seasoned employees, the joke has often been made that he has done everything except cook. Being from New York City and an avid traveler, Eli has been privy to a variety of restaurants and hospitality experiences. His own father was a chef and owner of a catering business. As a child, he used to "help" his father with the bookkeeping.

Eli was drawn to Richard Sandoval Restaurants after spending an extensive period of time throughout Latin America. He was inspired by the Latin culture and determined that combining his passion for foreign cultures, the hospitality industry and business development would result in the perfect career.

Since joining RSR, Eli has managed a broad spectrum of duties across the company. He has been responsible for managing and developing the accounting team, finance, contract negotiations, corporate development, human recourses, IT systems, payroll and benefits. This has given him an extensive knowledge of the company and has strengthened his contribution as Director of Finance. Most recently, Eli oversaw the centralization of RSR's accounting team and introduced new systems that have standardized practices and improved financial reporting and accuracy throughout the company.

Prior to joining RSR, Eli worked on Wall Street for The Bank of New York as an Internal Controls Analyst and later decided to join a digital media startup called Xuppa. There, he worked closely with the COO and CFO managing the growth, finances and development for the company.

In 1999, Eli worked under the renowned economist, Victor Zarnowitz at the Foundation of International Business and Economic Research. He assisted with the collection of data to build leading economic indicators for various countries. This information was utilized to measure international economies and market fluctuation patterns by bodies such as the United Nations and the Conference Board.

Eli has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Yeshiva University in New York, New York. He currently resides in Denver, Colorado.
